THE Runes

Viking runes are characters from ancient alphabets used by the Norse people. They served for writing, communication, and inscriptions on stone, wood, metal, & bone. Runes also held magical significance, used in rituals, amulets & divination. The symbols offered a glimpse into Viking life, culture & beliefs.

I have been using the ancient runes as an oracle to help connect me to my spirit.  There are many sources to assist us in using the runes.  My favourite one is "The Book of Runes" by the late Ralph H. Blum.

At 8:08 PM on March 10, 2024, I consulted the runes on the issue of the Viking Academy. The response was the rune Teiwaz (The Rune of the Spiritual Warrior) which gave me the following guidance: 

1) Remember that the true battle is always with the self

2) Allow the will of the divine to flow through you

3) Resolve to align yourself with your higher "Self"

 

...and thus the Viking Academy was born.

THE RUNE OF THE VIKING ACADEMY

 
To act as a symbol & reminder for what it means to be a spiritual warrior I created The Viking Academy Rune.
 
This Rune tells us the following: 
  • Life created you for a purpose, to fulfill a role in its unfolding. 
  • Pick up your sword, explore yourself & cut away your past conditioning to discover who you are & why you're here. 
  • Actively engage your life with passion & purpose like the ancient Vikings did. 
This rune has 3 Guiding Principles:
  1. Take responsibility for your own life. 
  2. Proactively improve yourself & your tribe. 
  3. Make your mark on the world.

A first-generation Canadian, I’ve always had strong ties to my Viking heritage.  Conceived in Norway, I “immigrated” to North America in my mom’s belly and from a very young age I lived loud and large. 

I played in an 80's heavy metal band and throughout my childhood my friends referred to me as “The Viking”. 

But as life tends to happen that personality was slowly suppressed through conditioning to fit in to be traditionally successful...

Erik's Story

I played in an 80's heavy metal band and throughout my childhood my friends referred to me as “the Viking”. 

But as life tends to happen that personality was slowly suppressed through conditioning to fit in to be traditionally “successful” in life.

So I became a Chartered Accountant.

Yes, you heard me correctly.  A bean-counter baby!  Sad, but true (great Metallica song by the way).

Where most of you would be crying in your cereal over this sudden change, I actually thought I was winning life. 

I was doing multimillion-dollar deals, working in a big office and playing the big-shot...until it all fell apart.

Alcoholism took me down.

HARD.

But what was the worst day of my life, became the best day of my life.  

I put the bottle down and started a journey of self discovery.

Over the last 5 decades I've come to realize that life is not a problem to be solved.  It's actually a gift to be explored, experienced & embraced.

I now know there is a reason the Universe made each one of us.  And exploring your 3 Dimensions is the portal to that realization.

Today I have multiple coaching & finance businesses that have positively impacted thousands of individuals using my unique ability: helping people break free from what’s holding them back so they can recover the joy of living.

I love seeing my clients living their lives with Passion & Purpose.

That’s what I was doing when I was young. Living loud and large.  Expressing myself.  Being a Viking.

Today I have multiple coaching and finance businesses that use my unique ability to serve thousands of people.  But I’m not stopping here.  I have a bigger purpose.

The Vision I have for the Viking Academy is to build a tribe of over 100,000 warriors who are actively exploring, experiencing and embracing the 3 dimensions of being human so they can unlock the portals to their souls and live their lives with passion and purpose.
